Gazes the horizon with seawinds in his face
Tempest-tossed island, seasons all the same
Anchorage unpainted and a ship without a name

Yup. Me too. And you know - once again we were shooting like with shutter speed 1/10 or so. Starfishes. Totally star fishes.
And Aurin was the one who insisted on karate stock.

What do you mean my belt is upside down, looks quite right to me. I have had problems learning the different knots, but I can't see a problem here, would you point it out for me.

it took me a second to realize what you were talking about haha. Your belt knot is fine, but the remaining part of the belt was coming up toward your chest. Depending on what style you study, the knot's "fist" can point either left or right, but the straps should be pointing down as they fall towards you feet instead of first pointing up before gravity pulls them down. Understand? Its tough o explain. So is this Shotokan? or Kempo and they just wont let you wear the black Gi yet?

I practice Wado-ryu karate do. And All our belts are tied like that, the straps are pointing up and then tucked down behind the belt, forming arches. At least with this knot. We use several, but this is the most popular. And our knot should point center, not left or right...

But really, thees are not poses from Wado, they just look cool. Most of the real forms are much higher than we could shoot. Because of the light being sucky...

the sword was never a part of okinawan Kobudo (weaponry), because the Samuraibanned the use of weapons in okinawa, the peasantry developed karate as a killing art. and found a way to use farming tools as weapons; the nunchaku is a flail used to separate rice from the stalk, the tonfa is a handle for grinding rice and the sai is used by fishermen as gaffing sticks. I believed that the sword of any kind werent a part of Kobudo.
